In today’s competitive landscape, B2B events offer more than just networking and lead generation; they’re great for creating immersive experiences and building strong connections. For tech companies hosting these events, attracting sponsors is key, but sticking to the usual sponsorship packages might not cut it anymore. To truly engage sponsors and attendees alike, you need to think outside the booth – literally!

Our client, a leading technology solutions provider, hosts several high-profile events each year.  The purpose of these events is for attendees to engage with others in their sector and grow their knowledge and ideas for future campaigns.

As well as our client connecting with the audience, there are also a select few complementary businesses who have a sponsorship presence at the event and the sponsorship opportunities available to them are the focus of this case study.

Everyone has worked with shell scheme or tabletop display at events and whilst there is still very much a use for these simple exhibitor displays; we also need to innovate our offerings to both sponsors and delegates.

Engaging Booth Design is important at any event, and we found these gorgeous, streamlined pods were an ideal way to display the sponsors and clients without being too imposing on the catering space. They are a neat solution with great clean graphics, a screen to stream content throughout and a clearly placed logo at the top for easy identification.

Customised Sponsorship Packages show that you are in tune with your sponsor’s objectives and by offering different areas of the event as sponsorship opportunities, the sponsors can make their stamp on the event in a unique way.  We worked hard to find some interesting brand visibility options for our client and had some fabulous sponsorship options!

Barista coffee carts: Not a new trend but still so popular. Venue coffee quality varies so adding in this upgrade is always a winner. From custom cups and signage to branded aprons, the sponsor enjoyed high visibility and the gratitude of caffeine-fueled attendees.

Headshot station:  A professional headshot is a must-have for any LinkedIn profile. This popular activation allowed attendees to update their headshots while subtly promoting the sponsor’s brand on the download page and email communications. A really useful delegate offering and one that will be remembered!

Branded Sweet Treats: Cupcake toppers, logo brownies, and even branded juice shots added a touch of sweetness to the event while reinforcing the sponsor’s brand. Sweet treat branding always looks great, and the photos are nice to share as well!

Branded Ice Cubes: Drinks receptions are always fun to brand, but have you ever looked at branded ice cubes?  These custom ice cubes, featuring the sponsor’s logo, added a touch of sophistication to the drinks reception. Don’t forget to keep the straws in brand colour as well.

Pick n Mix sweetie cart: Who knew that so much fun could be had with Pick n Mix!  Invoking everyone’s inner child-like attraction – the queues were long and the fun was tangible.  With full branding opportunities, the sponsor’s logo was front and centre, creating a positive association with fun and enjoyment.

Ice Cream Rolls: This unique and entertaining activation was a hit! Attendees watched as their customised ice cream rolls (dairy free available!) were created, with the sponsor’s branding prominently displayed on the cart, wafer and cup.  Consider swapping out the sweet canapes for these at your drinks reception. It’s a really fun and entertaining activity for your delegates.

By thinking outside the ‘traditional booth’ and embracing creative activations, you can transform your B2B events into truly engaging experiences for both attendees and sponsors. Remember to focus on customisation, visual appeal and delivering real value.

With a little imagination, you can create sponsorship opportunities that leave a lasting impression and drive meaningful results.
